पिता के छोड़ जाने पर बेटे की कलम से

Dear Friends,

I lost my father, a noted Urdu Journalist Shri Parwana Rudaulvi on 12 th April 2008. He never compromised on journalistic principles through out his life. He was 74. A true soldier of pen he wrote several books, articles and commentaries for AIR.

He had equal command over English and Urdu languages. He was a very good translator, an encyclopedia. I never saw him using dictionary for translations. He was awarded Dalmia award for National integration.Urdu Academy, Delhi also awarded him for his journalistic career. He was also awarded by UP Urdu Academy for his short stories collection JONK.

Urdu press all over India and Hindi Press in and around Lucknow, Faizabad, Barabanki have given wider coverages to untimely death of a such a rare soul. Daily Rashtriya Sahara Urdu brought out special supplement to pay homage to Shri Parwana Rudaulvi on 14th April 2008. We are receiving condolence messages from all over India and from unknown persons telling us how our father touched their heart with his good deed and writings. Urdu Newspapers are reporting about condolence meetings being held almost every day at places like Saharan Pur, Muradabad, Rampur, Deoband, Rudauli etc. Several literary and social organizations have sent their condolence messages to share our pain.

ON THURSDAY 17Th APRIL AT 5 PM , Naidunia National Forum is organizing a condolence meeting at GHALIB ACADEMY, Nizamuddin,New Delhi.
